Value of HK exports rose 11% in June
The Census and Statistics Department yesterday announced that, in June, the value of Hong Kong’s total exports of goods increased by 11.1% y-o-y to HKD 329.4 billion, outperformed the market expectation of 6.4%. The value of re-exports increased by 11.2% to HKD 325.7 billion, whilst the value of domestic exports increased by 2.4% to HKD 3.7 billion.
SRPA: Complaints of new launches slashed 50% in half year
The Sales of First-hand Residential Properties Authority (SRPA) announced that a total of 17 complaints were received in 1H/2017, slashed 53% y-o-y. Complaints about Advertisements accounted for 5 cases, followed by Sales Arrangements with 4 cases. On the other hand, number of enquiries rose approximately 11% y-o-y to 631 cases.
A shop at Dundas Street transacted for HKD 84.1 m
According to the Land Registry’s data, Street Shop, 37 Dundas Street, Mong Kok, with an area of 2,180 sq ft, has been transacted for HKD 84.1 million, or HKD 38,500 per sq ft last month. The transaction is registered under the name of MAXLINK (HONG KONG) LIMITED and the Director of the Company is Lam Hiu-ngai, founder of Kai Bo Food Supermarket.
39 Conduit Road sold to a company at HKD 125 m
According to the Land Registry’s data, Flat A, High-Floor, 39 Conduit Road, Mid-Levels West, with an area of 2,476 sq ft, has been transacted for HKD 125 million, or HKD 50,300 per sq ft earlier this month. The transaction is registered under the name of a company. It was required to pay the 30% Ad valorem stamp duty and Buyer’s Stamp Duty, amounting HKD 37.39 million.
