According to the Land Registry, a total of 5,145 residential transactions were seen in December, down by 4.9% month-on-month. A total of HKD 48.5 billion were recorded, decreased by 5.4% month-on-month. Primary transactions fell by 19% month-on-month to 1,514 cases; secondary transactions increased by 2.5% to 3,631 cases. For December, all the four indexes recorded mixed monthly returns, ranging from a negative 1.1% to a positive 0.5%.
